Hitachi Display Products Group today introduced its new high-brightness 3.5-inch ¼ VGA TFT display module - the TX09D71. Giving customers improved performance, the new module uses a new Hitachi manufactured backlight that delivers nearly three times the light output of previous models. Boasting a brightness level of 350cd/m² - but with no increase in power consumption compared with previous models - the TX09D71 operates more efficiently due to a new Brightness Enhancement Film (BEF) that minimizes dispersed light and enhances display brightness.

With a 240(w) X 320(h) resolution, the portrait display module offers 262,000 colours and is ideal for products such as handheld portable instruments, bespoke data loggers and measurement devices. Offering a highly compact form factor, the TX09D71 measures just (W)64.0mm x (H)86.0mm x (D)4.0mm.

The active matrix TX09D71 delivers a combination of high performance and compactness that makes it perfect for small and medium sized digital devices. The panel produces crisp and detailed colour images that allow for the presentation of clear information and bright colours. Using chip-on-glass technology and a white LED backlight, the transmissive TX09D71 is highly robust and delivers highly saturated colour reproduction. It is also available with touchscreen functionality.

The TX09D71 is supplied through Hitachi Display Product Group’s distribution partners. It is available across Europe immediately.
