Hitachi integriert Touchpanel in neues VGA LCD Modul mit weitem Sichtwinkel

Hitachi Display Products Group stellt eine neues VGA-TFT-Displaymodul mit weitem Sichtwinkel vor. In das Modul mit der Bezeichnung TX18D16VM1CBA ist ein resistives Analog-Touchpanel mit vier Leitungen integriert. Das Hochleistungsdisplay – ein 7‑Zoll-Schirm mit einer Auflösung von 800 x 480 – zeichnet sich durch hohe Flexibilität aus. Durch den weiten Sichtwinkel und ein Bildseitenverhältnis von 16:9 eignet sich das Displaymodul ideal für Einsatzbereiche wie Navigations‑ und Entertainmenteinrichtungen in Fahrzeugkabinen, Kassenterminals sowie Unterhaltungs- und Haushaltselektronik. Eine U‑förmige Kaltlichtröhre sorgt für eine hohe Leuchtdicht von bis zu 280 cd/m² bei einem Kontrastverhältnis von 200:1. Das macht das Modul ideal für den Einsatz mit viel Umgebungslicht.

Dazu erklärte Mark Dalton, Product Marketing Engineer bei der Hitachi Display Products Group: „Das Touchpanel im neuen TX18D16VM1CBA gibt Produktentwicklern viel mehr Freiheit in der Entwicklung ihrer Benutzeroberflächen. Auf Tastaturen oder Tastenfelder als Steuermechanismen kann verzichtet werden. Stattdessen lassen sich grafische Benutzeroberflächen mit intuitiveren Symbolen entwickeln. Das ist besonders dort wichtig, wo die Benutzerfreundlichkeit für die Produktakzeptanz eine wichtige Rolle spielt. Das gilt beispielsweise für portable Musikabspielgeräte und Kfz-Unterhaltungselektronik.“

Das TX18D16VM1CBA ist ein mit Transmissiv-Technik arbeitendes Aktivmatrix-TFT-Modul, das bis zu 262.000 Farben darstellen kann. Der Bildschirm misst 152 x 91 mm und wiegt nur 170 g. Das Modul eignet sich für einen Betriebstemperaturbereich von ‑20 °C bis +70 °C und entspricht uneingeschränkt der RoHS-Direktive („Reduction of Hazardous Substances“) zur Beschränkung von Schadstoffen in Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten.
