The new SP06Q002-T, launched today by Hitachi Display Products Group, offers customers a highly compact 2.6-inch ¼ VGA LCD display module delivering an impressive 320 x 240 resolution with a pixel pitch of just 0.16mm in a very small form factor. With excellent resolution, ideal for the presentation of fine detail and crisp images, the stylish Film STN LCD display module, which features an amber LED backlight, has been developed for handheld, portable and other consumer electronics products including home entertainment systems and digital radios. Highly robust and able to operate in a wide temperature range (-20 °C to +70 °C), the SP06Q002-T can be used in almost any environment.
“This robust, compact LCD module is a perfect solution for products that do not need full colour displays but wish to maintain strong aesthetic values and styling - which is often the case with high-volume, price sensitive consumer electronics goods. Requiring only a third of the bandwidth and memory of a colour screen, the SP06Q002-T places fewer demands on the supporting electronics that are needed to run it, making it more flexible and more cost-effective,” comments Mark Dalton, Product Marketing Engineer for Hitachi Display Products Group. “We are also able to customise the SP06Q002-T module, offering customers white, blue and green LED backlight variants if they require these.”
Using chip-on-glass technology for better resilience and sturdiness, the new display module operates in a transflective mode using amber LEDs for backlighting. Measuring just 67.1(W)mm x 55.8(H) mm x 3.8(D)mm, it is ideal for most environments that demand high resolution and excellent performance, particularly high resistance to humidity, shock and vibration. The module is also available with touchscreen functionality.
The SP06Q002-T is available immediately.
