Neues ultrakompaktes 5,7-Zoll-TFT-LCD von Hitachi

Die Hitachi Display Products Group gab den Marktstart ihres neuen ultrakompakten TFT-LCD-Displaymoduls TX14D12VM1CBA mit 5,7-Zoll-Diagonale bekannt. Das Displaymodul hat eine Auflösung von 320 x 240 Bildpunkten bei einem hochkompakten Formfaktor, der um 25 % kleiner ist (in Flächeneinheiten) als vergleichbare 5,7-Zoll-LCD-Displays. Entwickelt wurde es für ein breites Spektrum an industriellen, EPOS‑ („Electronic Point of Sales“) und Mobilterminal-Einsatzmöglichkeiten. Das Modul zeichnet sich durch einen weiten Betrachtungswinkel, hohe Farbsättigung und ein Kontrastverhältnis von 350:1 aus. Neben kompakten Abmessungen bei kleiner Basisfläche bietet das neue Displaymodul ausgezeichnetes Betriebsverhalten und hohe Flexibilität. Das Display erweitert das bereits breite Angebot von Hitachi an Farb‑ und Monochrom-LCD-Modulen mit 5,7-Zoll-Diagonale.

Mark Dalton, Product Marketing Engineer bei der Hitachi Display Products Group, führte dazu aus: „Als Folge der engen Kooperation mit einigen unserer Kunden erkannten wir einen Bedarf an ultrakompakten TFT-Farbdisplaymodulen mit 5,7-Zoll-Diagonale. Die kleinere Baisfläche bedeutet für die Entwicklungsingenieure viel mehr Flexibilität bei der Konfiguration und Platzierung von Display-Oberflächen. Der Bildschirm des TX14D12VM1CBA hat eine sehr schmale Einfassung. Das Modul kann daher in deutlich kleinere Flächen eingepasst werden und lässt im Umkreis des Displays noch Platz für Regler und Schalter.“

Das Modul misst 131 x 102 x 10 mm (B x H x T) und ist mit einem integrierten DC/DC-Wandler ausgestattet, so dass es mit einer einzigen 3,3-Volt-Versorgung betrieben werden kann. Ein langlebiges CFL-Backlight in L-Form sorgt für eine Halbwertszeit (halbe Helligkeit) von 50.000 Stunden. Das Modul arbeitet mit Transmissiv-Technik, erzeugt 262.000 Farben und stellt Bilder und Grafik scharf und klar mit einer Helligkeit von 350 cd/m² dar. Das TX14D12VM1CBA ist auch mit integriertem resistivem Analog-Touchscreen mit vier Leitungen verfügbar.
