26th August, 2004
Hitachi Display Products Group today announced the launch of the TX26, a new high brightness 10.4-inch colour TFT display module. Ideal for a wide range of display and interface applications, the new display panel delivers a 640 x 480 resolution. Using two cold cathode fluorescent tubes for backlighting, the TX26 delivers 380 cd/m2
brightness with a 500:1 contrast ratio, making it ideal for applications in ambient light conditions.
“The TX26 offers design engineers the option of increasing the size of the user interface screen, making it easier for customers to use their products. It is ideal for applications including process control, e-pos and networked information kiosks where bright colours, graphics and text are displayed,” comments Mark Dalton, Product Marketing Engineer for Hitachi Display Products Group. “With the growing levels of computerisation in all of the machines around us, the need for larger format colour displays that deliver information and instructions to people quickly and easily continues to drive the need for bigger and better LCD display modules.”
Designed to present information to the user in a clear, concise format, the TX26 offers a highly flexible colour display with excellent performance. It is a transmissive display capable of producing 262,144 colours in a screen measuring 211mm x 158 mm. The module operates at temperatures between -10° C and 70° C and weighs just 445g. Its physical dimensions are 243mm (W) x 181mm (H) x 12mm (D).
The TX26 is supplied through Hitachi Display Product Group’s distribution partners. It is available across Europe immediately.
